Wild Meadows offers a limited college level internship and mentorship for students interested in nature based, child led education. Interns learn alongside our guides through observation, relationship, and seasonal rhythm rather than leading instruction.

Who This Internship Is For

This opportunity is open to currently enrolled college students aged 18 and older who feel called to nature based education. Interns should be thoughtful, observant, comfortable outdoors in all weather, and able to learn through reflection and presence.

This internship is not open to high school students or those seeking childcare hours.

The Experience

Interns support the day through quiet presence and observation. They sit alongside children as they notice seasonal changes, identify plants, insects, and animals, and give language to what is being seen and wondered about. The role is one of accompaniment rather than instruction, following the children’s curiosity and the rhythm of the forest.

Commitment

Internships follow a seasonal or semester based structure with one Wednesday morning per week for approximately three hours over a ten to twelve week period. The first two weeks are observational and serve as a mutual trial period.
